'67 Sunset Strip

Los Angeles rock and roll girls of 1967, daughters of Dionysus, wild days at love-ins, wild nights on Sunset Strip. I believe this particular free spirit may be Miss Pamela of the GTO's, who road tested a Door, a Stone, a Who, a Zeppelin and two Burritos before settling down with Michael Des Barres.

Exclusive lair w/ icons of a happening scene including posters for Love w/ Sons of Adam @ The Whiskey, Columbia Records' Sparrow Are Now campaign, Andy Warhol's Exploding Plastic Inevitable and KRLA's 1966 Monster Halloween Freak-Off w/ The Seeds, Pop Art Experimental Band, Davie Allan & The Arrows, The New Generation and RAIN.

David Crosby interrupts The Byrds to make some point or another, fur hat, STP guitar and all.

Chad Stuart of Chad & Jeremy, dedicated follower of fashion.

Love beads, love child.

Direct from Toronto, Verve Forecast recording artists The Paupers, magic person Denny Gerrard in foreground. Is that the haze of time or recreational smoke?

Monty Rock III, Puerto Rican hairdresser who used The Merv Griffin Show to launch an entertainment career that reached its pinnacle with Disco Tex & His Sex-O-Lettes, accompanied here by the alleged Miss Pamela.

Barry McGuire at a love-in, Eve of Destruction in the rear view.

Rodney Bingenheimer w/ unidentified admiree.

The Velvet Underground's & Nico, free of John and Lou and their endless bickering.

  1. Hi there! My name is Alex, and I am a member of a Nico fan group on yahoo groups. I was wondering who I had to contact in order to ask if I could add these WONDERFUL and rare photos to the group. There will be a note by each photo as to who it belongs to. If you could e-mail me at cloudyborderline@gmail.com, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you!
